The Jharkhand Urban Development Department has established multiple expert teams to assess and improve urban infrastructure across the state. These teams, guided by Principal Secretary Sunil Kumar, include engineers from the Urban Development and Housing Department, Road Construction Department, and JUIDCO. They will inspect existing facilities, evaluate road networks, intersections, and greenery, and prepare proposals for roads, flyovers, underbridges, and footpaths. The initiative aligns with Chief Minister Hemant Soren's vision to strengthen sustainable urban growth and position Jharkhand as a leading state in modern urban development.

The Jharkhand Urban Development Department has launched a comprehensive initiative to modernize urban infrastructure by forming several expert teams. These teams have been tasked with assessing the current facilities in cities and towns, identifying gaps, and exploring infrastructure developments needed to support sustainable urban growth. The move reflects Chief Minister Hemant Soren's vision to make Jharkhand one of the leading states in advanced urban development and infrastructure.

Principal Secretary Sunil Kumar said eight specialized teams have been set up, comprising engineers from the Urban Development and Housing Department, Road Construction Department, and Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Company (JUIDCO). The teams will conduct on-site inspections of municipal bodies to identify existing infrastructure, focusing on areas that require development or modernization.

The teams' responsibilities include evaluating current road networks and proposing new roads, elevated roads, flyovers, road overbridges, underbridges, and pathways. They will also examine intersections and roundabouts to ensure smooth traffic flow and prepare recommendations for strengthening existing roads. Additionally, the teams will plan footpaths, roadside greenery, and environmental enhancements to improve both aesthetics and urban living quality.

By focusing on these critical aspects, the initiative aims to ensure cities and towns can accommodate future growth while maintaining efficient connectivity and sustainable infrastructure development. The comprehensive plans developed by these teams will guide future urban planning efforts in the state.
