Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) has increased its renewable energy capacity by commissioning 112.5 MW of projects at Khavda in Gujarat. With this, the company's total operational generation capacity now stands at 16,598.6 MW.
The projects commissioned include an 87.5 MW solar power plant through Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six Limited, a step-down subsidiary of AGEL. Alongside this, a 25 MW hybrid project has also been operationalised at the same location by Adani Green Energy Twenty Five B Limited. The company confirmed in its exchange filing that these projects began supplying power from September 30, 2025, following the necessary regulatory clearances.
The Khavda site in Gujarat has become a key location for Adani Green's large-scale renewable energy developments. The commissioning of these two projects adds to the company's ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in solar as well as hybrid energy solutions. Hybrid projects, which combine multiple renewable sources, are being increasingly adopted to improve power supply stability and efficiency.
Part of the Adani Group, AGEL has consistently expanded its renewable energy portfolio in recent years. Its projects cover solar, wind, and hybrid energy generation across multiple states. The company has become one of India's largest renewable power producers, contributing a significant share to the country's green energy capacity. With the addition of the new projects in Gujarat, AGEL has moved closer to its long-term target of scaling renewable energy generation to meet both national demand and sustainability goals.
