Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Banswara in Rajasthan on 25 September 2025, marking the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. During his visit, he will lay the foundation stone for the Mahi-Banswara Nuclear Power Plant, which is expected to significantly boost the state's energy capacity. In addition, he will inaugurate several clean and renewable energy projects across Rajasthan and other states, reinforcing the government's push towards sustainable energy solutions.
As part of the visit, the Prime Minister will also flag off three new train services to improve connectivity between Rajasthan and northern India. These services include the Bikaner-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express, the Jodhpur-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express, and the Udaipur City-Chandigarh Express. These trains are expected to offer faster travel options, benefiting daily commuters and long-distance passengers alike.
Further, Modi is scheduled to meet beneficiaries of the PM-KUSUM scheme, which supports farmers in adopting solar energy for irrigation. This program allows farmers to generate energy independently, reducing reliance on conventional power sources and encouraging sustainable agricultural practices. The initiatives launched during this visit aim to strengthen infrastructure, energy capacity, connectivity, and rural development in the region.
