Synopsis

The Trump Organization has earned close to INR 175 crore from seven luxury real estate projects in India through licensing deals with developers in cities like Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, and Gurugram. The earnings were generated without any investment or construction responsibility. The company's revenue came mainly from brand licensing and development fees. Its partnership with Tribeca Developers has helped expand the Trump brand's footprint in India to about 11 million sq. ft., making the country the largest market for the brand outside the US.

The Trump Organization has earned nearly INR 175 crore from seven real estate projects in India through licensing deals with local developers, according to a recent Indian Express report. These projects are spread across Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, and Gurugram. The company has followed a no-investment model and does not own the land or fund construction. Instead, it licenses the Trump name and charges brand and development fees, typically between 3% to 5% of the project's sales value.

In its financial disclosures, the Trump Organization reported earning about USD 12 million (around INR 100 crore) from its India operations in 2024 alone. Of this, approximately USD 10 million came from the Mumbai project, and the remaining USD 2.2 million from other licensing and royalty deals. Earlier, between 2012 and 2019, it earned around USD 11.3 million (nearly INR 75 crore) from four projects in India.

The company has expanded its presence significantly with the help of Tribeca Developers, led by Kalpesh Mehta, who is its exclusive India partner. Together, they launched six new projects in Pune, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Noida, and Bengaluru. Of these, three projects-spread across Pune, Gurugram, and Hyderabad cover nearly 4.3 million sq. ft. and have already been launched.

Overall, the Trump brand now covers around 11 million sq. ft. of real estate in India, a sharp rise from 3 million sq. ft. a year ago. The projects are being executed in partnership with leading Indian developers such as Lodha Group, Panchshil Realty, M3M, Unimark, and IRA Realty. The estimated combined sales value of these projects is nearly INR 15,000 crore.

India has now become the largest international market for the Trump Organization in terms of branded real estate. The brand's focus on ultra-luxury residential and commercial spaces continues to attract premium pricing in India's top urban markets.
