CREDAI has partnered with Adani Cement to promote sustainable and high-quality construction across India. Announced at its Governing Council meeting, the tie-up designates Adani as the preferred supplier of eco-certified materials and technical services for CREDAI's 13,000+ developer members. Two key initiatives were also launched: the Green India Council, starting with a 9,000-acre reforestation drive in Nashik, and the Skilling Council, focused on training the next-generation construction workforce. Through these steps, CREDAI aims to integrate environmental care and skill development into real estate practices, signalling a long-term commitment to responsible growth, community upliftment, and better industry standards.
The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) has formalised a strategic partnership with Adani Cement to advocate sustainable and high-quality construction standards throughout India. This collaboration was revealed during the Governing Council meeting of CREDAI, attended by Goa's Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and the organisation's leadership team.
CREDAI, which represents more than 13,000 private real estate developers spanning 20 states and 230 city chapters, has simultaneously introduced two significant initiatives the Green India Council and the Skilling Council. These bodies aim to embed environmental consciousness and workforce enhancement into the core of the real estate sector's operations.
As part of the agreement, Adani Cement, designated as CREDAI's preferred partner, will offer its portfolio of premium and GRIHA-certified construction materials. This includes eco-friendly concrete solutions, specialised additives, and technical support services tailored to sustainable building practices. Furthermore, the cement giant will facilitate on-site technical assistance and conduct knowledge-sharing initiatives to train engineers and construction professionals associated with CREDAI.
Shekhar Patel, the President of CREDAI, remarked that the twin launches of the Green India Council and the Skilling Council signified a purposeful move to place sustainability and skill development at the heart of real estate. He noted that these efforts underline the body's larger mission to foster economic progress while protecting the environment and uplifting communities.
The Green Council will spearhead a wide array of environmental programmes, beginning with a massive reforestation project in Maharashtra's Nashik district. The initiative involves restoring 9,000 acres of degraded land and planting over 10 lakh trees using scientifically validated and community-led techniques.
Meanwhile, the Skilling Council is being established to develop a workforce ready to meet the evolving demands of the construction industry. By investing in training and upskilling, CREDAI aims to future-proof its member organisations while raising overall industry benchmarks in quality and safety.
By launching large-scale reforestation projects and skill development platforms, CREDAI is anchoring sustainability and human capital at the centre of its agenda. The initiative reflects a forward-thinking approach, aligning economic growth with ecological integrity and workforce empowerment.
