The Andhra Pradesh government has allocated 50 acres of land in Amaravati for the establishment of a quantum computing centre, marking a significant step in the state's technological advancement. The project, named the Quantum Valley, is set to be the largest of its kind in India. Key industry leaders, including IBM, TCS, and L&T, have partnered in this initiative. The centre is slated for completion by January 2026, with the aim of positioning Amaravati as a hub for cutting-edge technology and innovation.

In alignment with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's vision, the Group of Ministers overseeing capital city land allocations sanctioned the land for this prestigious project. Municipal Administration Minister Dr. P. Narayana emphasized that the Quantum Valley would be a significant addition to India's technological landscape. The project is scheduled for completion by January 2026.
The Quantum Valley project has attracted partnerships from leading industry players. IBM is set to spearhead the establishment of the quantum computing centre, bringing its global expertise to the initiative. TCS will play a pivotal role as a key partner, contributing to the project's development and implementation. Infrastructure giant L&T has been entrusted with constructing the iconic building that will house the centre, ensuring that the facility meets international standards.
Beyond the Quantum Valley, the Andhra Pradesh government is making significant strides in developing Amaravati as a hub for education and healthcare. A 55-acre plot has been allocated for the establishment of a National Law University, further enhancing the city's academic infrastructure. Additionally, the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Institute has been granted 15 acres of land, with an additional 6 acres allocated for the construction of a medical college, reflecting the government's commitment to improving healthcare facilities in the region.
The government's proactive approach extends to various other institutions. Land allocations have been made to organizations such as the Income Tax Department, Indian Red Cross Society, Coastal Bank, and IRCTC Hotel, demonstrating a comprehensive strategy to foster institutional development across sectors. To date, approximately 1,050 acres have been allocated to 71 organizations, indicating the government's dedication to creating a well-rounded infrastructure in Amaravati.
By fostering partnerships with global industry leaders and investing in education and healthcare infrastructure, the state is laying the groundwork for a prosperous future. As the Quantum Valley project progresses towards its 2026 launch, it is poised to attract international attention and investment, positioning Amaravati as a beacon of technological excellence in India.
