The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, under the direction of Municipal Commissioner Dr Kailas Shinde and the guidance of Additional Commissioner (2) Dr Rahul Gethe and Assistant Commissioner (Encroachments) Mr Bhagwat Doifode, carried out a drive to clear unauthorised constructions in the Belapur area. The operation, coordinated by the Belapur A-Department Office, resulted in the removal of 64 unauthorised huts from the area. The drive was carried out using heavy machinery, including a JCB, along with the assistance of 22 workers, a pickup vehicle, and police personnel from both the local police station and the encroachment department.
