Synopsis

Infrastructure giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured significant transmission infrastructure contracts valued between INR 5,000 crore and INR 10,000 crore from both domestic and international clients. The orders, awarded by key transmission asset owners and operators, include a major project in Andhra Pradesh to integrate a renewable energy zone and a series of gas-insulated substation assignments in the Middle East. This development further strengthens L&T's global standing in the power transmission and distribution sector.

Infrastructure powerhouse Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced during the past week that it had secured fresh transmission infrastructure contracts valued between INR 5,000 crore and INR 10,000 crore. These deals, awarded by prominent transmission asset owners and operators, span both domestic and international markets.

In India, L&T's power transmission and distribution business has won a key contract to construct a transmission line aimed at integrating a renewable energy zone in Andhra Pradesh. This project is part of India's ongoing efforts to expand its renewable energy capacity and improve grid stability as the country accelerates its green energy targets.

Internationally, in the Middle East, the company has received multiple orders to implement a series of gas-insulated substations. These assignments are aligned with the region's broader energy infrastructure upgrades, especially in high-load urban environments where compact and reliable substation systems are essential.

Larsen & Toubro, a USD 30-billion Indian multinational, has consistently expanded its presence across geographies through strategic infrastructure and energy projects. This latest round of contract wins reflects its robust capability in executing large-scale transmission solutions globally.

These wins not only reinforce its technical prowess but also its strategic positioning in high-growth regions like the Middle East and key Indian states. With this momentum, L&T appears poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of power distribution and infrastructure across emerging and developed markets.
