ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has made further progress on its ambitious 300 MW solar project in Sikar, Rajasthan, by commissioning an additional 75 MW of capacity. This recent development pushes the total operational capacity at the site to 240 MW, following the earlier activation of 165 MW. With this milestone, the company's overall operational renewable energy capacity has reached approximately 2,806.4 MW. The expansion reflects ACME's ongoing commitment to strengthening India's clean energy infrastructure and supporting national sustainability goals through scalable, high-output solar installations.
ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has added another 75 MW of renewable energy capacity to its solar power facility in Sikar, Rajasthan. This latest commissioning brings the cumulative operational capacity at the Sikar project to 240 MW, as part of the company's broader 300 MW development plan at the site.
The update follows a previous capacity milestone, when the company had successfully brought 165 MW into operation at the same location. A company spokesperson indicated that with this new addition, ACME has significantly advanced towards the full commissioning of the Sikar solar project, which remains one of the company's key undertakings in Rajasthan.
This commissioning has also pushed ACME Solar's total operational renewable energy capacity to an impressive 2,806.4 MW. Known for being one of the major players in India's solar energy landscape, ACME has consistently expanded its footprint through strategically located solar farms across multiple states. The Sikar project, positioned in a region well-suited for high solar irradiance, is expected to be a strong contributor to the local and national energy grid once the remaining 60 MW is completed.
The Sikar solar facility forms part of ACME's larger strategy to meet the rising demand for clean energy in India. The company has previously delivered large-scale solar projects in states such as Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan, often in partnership with state utilities and under government renewable energy auctions.
Once fully operational, the Sikar solar plant will not only enhance the renewable energy capacity of Rajasthan but also reinforce ACME's reputation as a reliable developer and operator in the solar sector. The project aligns with India's broader decarbonisation agenda and the government's target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030.
As India accelerates its transition towards renewable power, companies like ACME Solar continue to play a pivotal role in delivering scalable, grid-integrated solar solutions that contribute to the nation's clean energy ambitions.
