Synopsis

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) recently announced its success in acquiring a major inter-state transmission project in Maharashtra, valued at INR 1,600 crore. The addition has pushed its transmission order book to INR 61,600 crore. The project will involve setting up 3,000 MVA of substation capacity, along with supporting infrastructure, further strengthening AESL's national transmission footprint. The project was awarded through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route, with REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) acting as the bid process coordinator. AESL is expected to complete the project by early 2028.

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) recently revealed that it had bagged an interstate transmission project in Maharashtra, with an estimated value of INR 1,600 crore. The company stated that this new contract has expanded its overall transmission order book to INR 61,600 crore.


As part of this newly acquired project, AESL will be responsible for establishing a substation capacity of 3,000 Mega Volt-Amperes (MVA), along with the development of associated transmission infrastructure. This development will boost AESL's total transmission network to 26,696 circuit kilometre (ckm) and increase its transformation capacity to 93,236 MVA.

The company shared that the project was secured under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mechanism, with REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) serving as the bid process coordinator. AESL is aiming to commission the project by early 2028.
