Other key projects include a missile testing center, national highways, and a unity mall in Visakhapatnam. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi recently inaugurated and laid the foundation for development projects worth over INR 58,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant step in the state's infrastructure and economic growth. The event, held in Amaravati, signifies the revival of the city's development as the state's capital, a project that had been stalled for several years.


The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of Amaravati in India's vision for a developed future, stating that the projects launched are not merely physical structures but represent the aspirations of Andhra Pradesh and the nation. He assured full support from the central government in transforming Amaravati into a hub for information technology, artificial intelligence, green energy, and clean industries.

Among the key projects, INR 49,000 crore is allocated for 74 major infrastructure initiatives in Amaravati, including the construction of the legislative assembly, high court, secretariat, and housing for judicial officers. Additional projects include a missile testing center in Krishna district, a unity mall in Visakhapatnam, a rail overbridge in Guntakal, and six national highway projects.

The revival of Amaravati's development is a collaborative effort between the central government and the state, led by Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu. The city is envisioned as a model for sustainable and inclusive urban development, with plans for specialized zones dedicated to justice, knowledge, health, and finance sectors.

This initiative reflects a renewed commitment to infrastructure development in Andhra Pradesh, aiming to boost economic activity, create employment opportunities, and enhance the quality of life for its residents. The projects launched are expected to play a pivotal role in the state's progress and contribute to India's broader development goals.
