Arete Group has announced its plans to invest INR 1,200 crore in infrastructure development for its industrial park located at Dahej, Gujarat. This investment will support the second phase of the Payal Industrial Park (PIP), which the group launched earlier this week within the Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR).
The newly launched phase spans approximately 850 acres, expanding the group's footprint in Gujarat's growing industrial corridor. According to a statement from the company, the investment will be utilised across multiple phases to enhance infrastructure within the park.
Established in 1990, Arete Group is active across various sectors including industrial parks, real estate, retail, and financial investments. The company revealed that it is aiming to attract chemical-based industries such as agrochemicals, pesticides, specialty and inorganic chemicals, dyes and pigments, and chlor-alkali to establish operations within the park.
Dahej, known for its strategic location and proximity to key logistics routes, has evolved into a preferred destination for chemical and petrochemical companies over the past decade. Arete Group's latest initiative reinforces this trend, positioning the industrial park as a critical hub for chemical manufacturing and allied sectors.
As India continues to push for self-reliance in chemical manufacturing and enhance its export capacity, infrastructure-driven projects like this play a vital role. The park's location within the PCPIR zone provides added leverage for operational efficiency and policy benefits. With strategic planning and targeted industry outreach, Arete Group appears poised to solidify its position as a key player in India's industrial infrastructure landscape.
