The Andhra Pradesh government has committed to resolving all the pending land-related issues within three months, announced Special Chief Secretary RP Sisodia at a state-level land administration conference. Joint collectors will directly oversee grievance redressal, ensuring transparency and accountability. Emphasizing digital governance and accurate data entry, Sisodia warned against negligence. Chief Commissioner G Jaya Lakshmi outlined streamlined processes for land allocation, while Additional CCLA Dr. N Prabhakara Reddy discussed resurvey efforts, encroachments, and digital land management. Four specialized teams will address key land challenges. The legal framework remains unchanged, and vacant land may be used for housing under existing policies.

Sisodia emphasized that joint collectors will take direct responsibility for handling land-related grievances, ensuring that all revenue-related activities are conducted with integrity and accuracy. He stressed that data entry must be precise, warning officials against negligence or errors that could lead to complications. According to him, the legal framework for land administration is already well-established, eliminating the need for further clarification. Instead, the focus should be on proper implementation and governance to regain public trust.
He further stated that effective land management remains a top priority for the state, and achieving this requires streamlined procedures, transparent operations, and efficient digital record-keeping. Joint collectors will be closely monitoring all actions to ensure that processes are executed correctly and without delays.
Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) G Jaya Lakshmi discussed the simplification of land-related procedures, particularly in areas such as web land management, freehold house sites, and site allocations. To address key challenges, the government has formed four specialized teams, each consisting of five members, tasked with tackling major land-related issues. Additionally, she highlighted that vacant land within existing layouts may be utilized for house site allocations in accordance with current regulations.
Additional CCLA-cum-Secretary Dr. N Prabhakara Reddy elaborated on the state's ongoing efforts to improve land administration. He focused on critical aspects such as resurvey initiatives, land rights verification, and tackling encroachments. He also emphasized the importance of digital land management systems in maintaining accurate and accessible land records. During the conference, he engaged with joint collectors and revenue divisional officers, addressing their concerns and providing clarifications on key policies and administrative processes.
The government's renewed focus on land administration aims to bring efficiency and transparency to the sector while ensuring that long-standing disputes and grievances are resolved promptly. By empowering joint collectors with direct oversight responsibilities, the administration seeks to create a more accountable governance structure. With the formation of dedicated teams, the adoption of digital governance, and the strict enforcement of accurate record-keeping, the state aims to build a robust system that benefits both the administration and the public.
