Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) and Thane Tree Authority, in association with Oberoi Realty, have undertaken the Thane City Beautification Drive under Vrukshavalli 2025. The CSR activity is aimed at improving the green cover of Thane and fitting into its Smart City vision. Chief among these is the landscaping of a 16-kilometre route via native tree plantations, green landscaping, and green maintenance initiatives. The project attempts to strike a balance between city growth and an awareness of nature, supporting biodiversity and a green urban landscape. Oberoi Realty incorporates its approach of sustainable urbanisation into the project and manifests its commitment with projects such as Forestville and Oberoi Garden City Thane.
The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) in collaboration with the Thane Tree Authority and Oberoi Realty recently initiated the Thane City Beautification Drive under the Vrukshavalli 2025 initiative. This joint venture, launched during the Vrukshavalli 2025 festival, is aimed at augmenting the green cover of Thane to promote sustainable urban development. The festival, organized every year by TMC, is being conducted at Raymond Grounds and is calling for entry by environmentalists, civic groups, and Thane's residents who have a vision of a green Thane. The project involves converting a 16-kilometre belt in Thane into a verdant green strip by growing beautiful native tree varieties, developing green landscapes, and adopting a long-term ecological care program. Oberoi Realty's participation is also a reaffirmation of its commitment to aligning with the Smart City plans of Thane, prioritizing sustainability and ecology while incorporating greens into the infrastructure of the city.
Welcoming the audience, Prachi Gadkari, Assistant General Manager - Liaison, Oberoi Realty, showed excitement at the association with TMC. She pointed out Thane's transformation into a bustling urban hub with strong infrastructure, well-planned connectivity, and a vibrant business community. Gadkari added that the beautification drive goes well with the company's developments, like Forestville in Kolshet and Oberoi Garden City Thane in Pokhran, which are a perfect blend of urbanisation and nature conservation.

Through the planting of varied native species in road medians, the company aims to beautify Thane, make it ecologically resilient, and enhance urban living.
