Telangana Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka has directed housing and revenue officials to fast-track Indiramma house construction in districts unaffected by the election code, prioritizing Mahabubnagar and Rangareddy. The state has allocated funds for 3,500 houses per assembly constituency, emphasizing efficient execution. Bhatti also pushed for satellite townships near Hyderabad's ring roads to meet housing demand and urged digital land surveys for better land management. Additionally, he instructed officials to install solar systems on government buildings and streamline rent payments for government offices. These initiatives align with the Congress government's welfare goals and urban development plans.
Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has instructed officials from the housing and revenue departments to expedite the construction of Indiramma houses in districts where the election code for Graduate and Teacher MLC constituencies is not in effect. The directive includes immediate action in Mahabubnagar and Rangareddy districts and aims to complete as much work as possible before the enforcement of the panchayat election poll code. During a pre-budget review, Bhatti reiterated Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's commitment to the Indiramma housing scheme, which is part of the Congress government's six key guarantees. He highlighted that budget allocations have been made for 3,500 houses in every assembly constituency, emphasizing the need for efficient execution. Additionally, he instructed officials to ensure proper legal representation to reclaim government lands entangled in court cases, as these could be utilized for housing projects.
Focusing on Hyderabad's rapid expansion, Bhatti urged the housing department to develop satellite townships to accommodate low- and middle-income groups. He directed officials to identify land around the outer and regional ring roads suitable for the construction of Lower Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), and Higher Income Group (HIG) houses. Proposals should be sent to the Revenue Department for land acquisition, ensuring planned urban expansion that meets housing demands.
To improve efficiency in land management, the deputy CM stressed the adoption of modern technology for digital land surveys. He also called for a comprehensive list of government offices currently operating from rented premises. To streamline rent payments, a dedicated section should be established in the Finance Department to process these payments regularly, avoiding delays and ensuring proper financial management.
In alignment with the government's green energy initiatives, Bhatti instructed officials to install solar power systems on government office buildings. This move supports the state's push towards sustainable, pollution-free energy solutions while reducing operational costs for government facilities.
Further, Bhatti reminded officials of the broader vision of the Indiramma government, which aimed to create and distribute wealth equitably among the people. In keeping with this philosophy, he directed departments to explore alternative revenue streams and resource mobilization strategies. Strengthening financial sustainability would ensure long-term success for government welfare programs and infrastructure projects.
By prioritizing housing development, sustainable urban planning, and energy efficiency, the Telangana government is taking significant steps to enhance infrastructure and improve living conditions across the state. The timely execution of these initiatives will not only fulfill the Congress party's electoral promises but also contribute to equitable growth and modernization.
