The Greater Ludhiana Development Authority (GLADA) continued its crackdown on unapproved and haphazard development, demolishing three illegal colonies on the outskirts of the city, in Ladian Kalan and Hussainpura. The demolition, led by district town planner Sandeep, included the removal of boundary walls, roads, passages, and sewer manholes under construction. The demolition was overseen by district town planner Sandeep, who led the team responsible for pulling down boundary walls, dismantling roads and passages, and destroying sewer manholes under construction. Harpreet Singh, the chief administrator of GLADA, has instructed officials to take strict action against individuals who have been deceiving residents by offering them cheaper plots in these illegal colonies. These areas do not have the necessary government approvals and do not adhere to regulatory standards, making them unsafe for potential buyers.
