Synopsis

The Jaipur Police is upgrading its Nazar App to allow tenants to register and use key security features, improving safety for rented properties. Initially designed for homeowners, the app previously lacked tenant access. The update will enable tenants to register domestic workers, receive security alerts, and track elderly residents at home. Landlords must first register their properties, after which tenants can gain access upon police approval. The upgrade is underway, with officials ensuring smooth implementation. This move aims to enhance residential security and make safety measures more inclusive for Jaipur's growing tenant population.

The Jaipur Police is upgrading its Nazar App to allow tenants to register and use key security features. This move aims to improve safety measures for residents, especially those living on rent. The Nazar App was originally designed for homeowners to register their details of their domestic help and receive security alerts. However, tenants could not directly access these features, limiting its usefulness for rented properties. To address this, Jaipur Police has decided to modify the app and introduce a tenant registration system.

Once the update is implemented, tenants will be able to register details of their domestic workers, receive alerts if they are away from home for extended periods, and access information about elderly residents living in their household.

According to Kunwar Rasthradeep, Additional Commissioner of Police (I), the process will require landlords to register their properties and add tenant details first. After approval from local police officers, tenants can use the same credentials to access the app and its features.

The upgradation process has already begun, and police officials are working on ensuring smooth implementation. Once completed, this change will provide tenants with enhanced security options, making residential safety measures more inclusive for the city.
