The Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) is inviting consultants to submit sealed bids for a structural assessment and repair monitoring of a G+16 rehabilitation building in Vikhroli, Mumbai. The project includes adding three more floors, an overhead water tank, and a lift machine room. The selected consultant will conduct visual inspections, non-destructive tests, and provide a detailed repair report. Bids must be submitted by the deadline, with results announced the same day. The consultant must complete the work within 30 days while ensuring safety and quality standards. The project aims to enhance the building's structural integrity and compliance with regulations.
The Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) is seeking sealed quotes from consultants for a structural examination and repair monitoring of an existing G+16 rehabilitation building. A part of the Saidham SRA CHS and Vighnahar SRA CHS development, which is situated on CTS Nos. 253, 254, and 255 in Village Hariyali, Vikhroli, Mumbai - 400083, this effort also entails the construction of three more floors (17th to 19th), an overhead water tank (OHT), and a lift machine room.
Visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), distress mapping, and a comprehensive report on required repairs are all part of the comprehensive structural assessment that will be carried out by the selected consultant. Tests like the Core Compression Test, which measures the concrete's compressive strength, the Rebound Hammer Test, which measures the surface's strength and hardness, and the Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test, which finds internal voids and cracks, will all be used in the assessment to determine the structural integrity of the existing building. In addition, the consultant will perform the Carbonation Test to look for concrete deterioration and the Half-Cell Potentiometer Test to assess the danger of steel reinforcement corrosion.
The Cover Meter Test, which gauges the thickness of the concrete cover over reinforcement, and Chemical Analysis, which detects dangerous compounds like sulphate and chloride that may compromise the longevity of the building, are two more crucial tests. These assessments are essential for identifying necessary repairs and guaranteeing the long-term security of the structure.
By 3:00 p.m. on or before the deadline, quotations must be delivered to the Executive Engineer's office at the Slum Rehabilitation Authority in Bandra (E), Mumbai. During the designated period, blank quotation forms are available for download from the SRA website. Bids from consultants should be sent in a single sealed envelope with a signed quotation form, the quotation notice, and a forwarding letter.
On the same day, at 3:30 p.m., the consultants or their representatives will be present when the quotations open. Any quotation may be accepted or rejected by the SRA at any time without giving a reason. Taxes and charges must be included in all stated rates; escalation is not permitted while the project is underway. The basis for payments will be made on the actual quantity of work completed.
Within 30 days, the chosen consultant must finish the entire scope of work while following Schedule-B and IS criteria. Throughout the repair and extension work, they have to make sure that safety and quality requirements are followed. To better grasp the project conditions, it is advised that consultants visit the location prior to providing their quotes.
The consultant is also responsible for paying for their own office and storage space, as well as making sure that all project-related supplies, equipment, scaffolding, and personnel are available. At no additional cost, the consultant is responsible for clearing the site of any construction-related materials after the job is finished. The consultant must handle site preparation, tool acquisition, and post-work cleanup on their own since there won't be any extra fees for these services.
The objective of this project is to comply with regulations while improving the rehabilitation building's capacity and structural integrity. To ensure the structure's long-term safety, consultants are urged to oversee every aspect on their own and finish the task quickly.
