CapitaLand Group, a Singapore-based real estate investment and development company, has announced a significant investment of INR 450 crore to establish a cutting-edge 1 million square foot IT park in Hyderabad. The decision was finalized during a high-level meeting held in Singapore, which was attended by Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, senior state officials, and key executives from CapitaLand, including Gauri Shankar Nagabhushanam, CEO and Executive Director of CapitaLand India Trust Management Pte. Ltd.

This project, aimed at addressing the growing demand from Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and blue-chip companies, is a major step forward in Hyderabad's evolution as a global technology and business hub. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy lauded the investment as a significant milestone, emphasizing its importance in solidifying Hyderabad's reputation as a leading destination for technology-driven enterprises.

CapitaLand is already a prominent player in Hyderabad's real estate and technology infrastructure sector, managing three major business parks: International Tech Park Hyderabad (ITPH), aVance Hyderabad, and CyberPearl. The addition of this new IT park is part of the company's broader strategy to expand its footprint in the region and provide world-class facilities to businesses seeking premium infrastructure.

Gauri Shankar Nagabhushanam expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting Hyderabad's dynamic ecosystem and the company's commitment to delivering sustainable, state-of-the-art infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of the technology sector.

In addition to the new IT park, CapitaLand is also making progress on its previously announced 25 MW IT load data center in Hyderabad. This facility is expected to become operational by mid-2025, further enhancing the city's data infrastructure capabilities.

The company's development plans extend beyond new projects. The second phase of redevelopment at International Tech Park Hyderabad (ITPH) is set to begin this year, with completion projected by 2028. This redevelopment will upgrade and modernize the existing facilities, ensuring they remain competitive and aligned with the latest industry standards.

With this investment, CapitaLand reinforces its long-term commitment to Hyderabad and its role in driving the city's technological and economic growth. The upcoming IT park and other projects demonstrate the company's confidence in Hyderabad's potential as a global technology hub and its ability to attract leading businesses from around the world. These developments are expected to significantly contribute to the city's economic landscape while meeting the increasing demand for high-quality business and technology infrastructure.
