Synopsis

In a recent board meeting, the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) implemented a twofold increase in fees for crucial development plan documents. Charges for DP and TP part plan documents rose from INR 500 to INR 1,000, while base map fees escalated from INR 2,000 to INR 4,000. Similarly, fees for measurement sheets and final plot F forms have also been revised. The meeting also saw the introduction of an online system for RTI applications and document requests, along with the approval of consultations for 18 TP schemes. These changes are expected to streamline processes while adjusting costs to current operational requirements.

During a recent board meeting of the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA), a decision was taken to double the fees for essential development plan documents. The charges for Development Planning (DP) and Town Planning (TP) part plan documents have increased from INR 500 to INR 1,000, whereas base map fees have risen from INR 2,000 to INR 4,000. This revision affects certified copies of various documents, including TP schemes.

The fees for measurement sheets have also seen a twofold rise, now standing at INR 1,000 instead of INR 500. Final plot F forms are now priced at INR 500, up from INR 300, while zoning certificates have also been increased to INR 500 from INR 300. Additionally, TP, village, and DP sheet map fees have surged to INR 4,000 from INR 2,000, and growth centre maps now cost INR 8,000, doubling from INR 4,000.

In the same meeting, AUDA introduced provisions for online submission of RTI applications. A centralised information management system portal has been established to facilitate document requests, plot validation, and non-TP opinions. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility to AUDA's services. Furthermore, the board approved consultations for 18 TP schemes, marking a step towards improved urban planning and development in the region.

The recent amendments in AUDA?s fee structure reflect an effort to align charges with current administrative needs while ensuring efficient service delivery. These changes collectively aim to enhance operational efficiency and streamline the development process in Ahmedabad.
