Synopsis

The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is moving forward with plot registration in its Mohan Road scheme's sectors 3, 4, 6, and 7, following RERA registration in the first phase. LDA Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar has directed increased machinery and workforce deployment to speed up development work. Sector-6 is progressing with road marking and levelling, with further infrastructure development planned. The project includes 1,617 residential plots and 22 group housing plots, along with 18 parks. In the Devpur Para housing scheme, Kumar instructed improvements to parking and playground facilities, urging timely completion.

The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is all set to begin plot registration in four sectors of its Mohan Road scheme, following the RERA registration of sectors 3, 4, 6, and 7 in the first phase. This marks a significant step in the development of the area, which has been part of LDA's ongoing efforts to expand residential and infrastructure opportunities in the city.

Last week, during a site inspection, LDA Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar urged officials to accelerate the development work by increasing both machinery and workforce deployment. This is in response to the steady progress the project has made so far. Development activities are already underway in sector-6, which is located on land acquired in Kaliakheda village. In this sector, work has been progressing with road marking, surface dressing, and levelling, helping set the foundation for further infrastructure additions. Sector-6, which has seen steady progress, is one of the first areas to be developed under the Mohan Road scheme.

Plans for further infrastructure development, such as roads, drains, and sewers, are now in place, with an estimated budget of INR 25 crore. These developments are crucial as they will enhance connectivity and sanitation in the area, making it more attractive for potential residents. The project will feature 1,617 residential plots, ranging in size from 112.5 sqm to 450 sqm, spread across sectors 3, 6, and 7. Sector-4 will be home to 22 group housing plots, spanning roughly 56 acres, designed to meet the growing demand for affordable housing in the region.

Additionally, the development plan includes 18 large parks spread across these sectors, a move that reflects LDA's focus on promoting green spaces in the city. This is in line with the city's broader vision of improving the quality of life for residents through better urban planning and infrastructure. To ensure smooth project execution and timely progress, Kumar has instructed the setup of an additional site office in Kaliakheda, which will streamline operations and help meet deadlines more efficiently.

In a separate inspection of the Devpur Para housing scheme, Kumar addressed the ongoing parking issues in 1,520 SMIG and MIG flats. These issues have been a source of concern for many residents. To resolve them, Kumar has instructed the construction of basement parking facilities, with parks above them, which will address both the parking shortages and the need for more recreational spaces. This move is seen as a proactive measure to improve the living experience in the housing scheme.

Kumar also highlighted the need for the replacement of outdated playground equipment in the Devpur Para area, in line with the LDA's commitment to providing safer and more modern recreational facilities for children. In addition, he emphasized the need to expedite the completion of EWS (Economically Weaker Section) buildings, urging officials to ensure that these buildings are ready on time. He warned that penalties would be imposed for any delays beyond two weeks, sending a clear message about the importance of sticking to schedules and ensuring the timely delivery of public services and housing projects.

This strategic focus on infrastructure and housing development aligns with the LDA's broader mission to address Lucknow's growing urbanisation and the increasing demand for residential properties in the city. Past initiatives have seen significant progress in other parts of the city, such as the expansion of the Kanpur Road and Gomti Nagar schemes, which have led to increased property values and better living conditions. The continued emphasis on developing modern facilities and improving amenities across projects like the Mohan Road and Devpur Para schemes is expected to drive further growth and attract more residents to these newly developed areas.
