Info-x Software Technology Pvt Ltd, led by its director Rishi Parti, has acquired a 16,000 sq ft penthouse in The Camellias, an ultra-luxury residential project in Gurugram. The deal, valued at INR 190 crore, was registered on December 2, with the company paying INR 13 crore in stamp duty. This transaction is among the priciest apartment deals in India, reflecting the growing demand for luxury real estate. The Camellias has seen a surge in high-profile buyers, including business leaders and entrepreneurs. Property values in areas like Gurugram and Delhi's Lutyens Zone are now on par with Mumbai's elite neighbourhoods.
Info-x Software Technology Pvt Ltd, through its director Rishi Parti, has purchased a 16,000 sq ft penthouse at The Camellias in Gurugram for INR 190 crore. This deal, one of the most expensive apartment transactions in the country, was officially registered on December 2. The company also paid INR 13 crore in stamp duty for the transaction, according to documents accessed from CRE Matrix, a real estate data firm.
Earlier in October 2023, it was reported that The Camellias saw its first INR 100 crore transaction. The Camellias is located along the Golf Course Road in Gurugram, an area known for its luxury residential developments. Ashwin Chadha, CEO of India Sotheby's International Realty, stated that the transaction reflects India's growing economy, highlighting how businesses are flourishing and injecting liquidity into the market. He added that the ultra-luxury real estate segment has benefitted the most, with top business leaders now willing to invest significantly in high-end properties. This trend is seen across the country.
Despite efforts to reach out for comments, Info-x declined to respond, and DLF, the developer of The Camellias, did not answer queries. The penthouse deal at The Camellias was finalized at INR 120,000 per sq ft on a super-area basis, marking one of the highest per-square-foot prices in India. This surge in luxury real estate prices in areas like Gurugram and Delhi's high-end localities has made them comparable to Mumbai's prestigious neighbourhoods, with per-sq-ft prices now crossing INR 120,000.
Around 15% of the property owners at The Camellias have upgraded from DLF's earlier projects, The Magnolias and The Aralias, also located in Gurugram. The majority of buyers in The Camellias are from the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR), with several notable figures, including Aman Gupta, founder of BoAt, and JC Chaudhry, founder of Aakash Educational Services, among the buyers. Real estate firm Elan Group is also among the prominent owners. Numerous startup founders are also reportedly investing in the luxury complex.
The growing demand for ultra-luxury properties in India is evident with recent high-profile transactions, such as the INR 190 crore purchase of a penthouse in The Camellias. This reflects not only the country's thriving economy but also an increasing preference for high-end real estate, particularly in areas like Gurugram and Delhi. With prices now comparable to Mumbai's elite neighbourhoods, the trend is reshaping the luxury property market in India. The influx of business leaders and entrepreneurs further demonstrates the strong investment potential in these premium developments.
