Despite the notice issued by the Encroachment Department of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, the concerned parties ignored it, prompting the Encroachment Department to take eviction action in the Turbhe division under the direction of Honorable Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde and the guidance of Dr. Rahul Gethe.

During an on-site inspection at the address of Mr. Arvind Manohar Thombre, House No. 122, Sector - 05, Sanpada Gaon, Sanpada, Navi Mumbai, approximately 750 sq. m. of unauthorized RCC construction was found to be in progress without permission. A notice had been issued under Section 54 of the Maharashtra Regional Planning and Town Planning Act, 1966 regarding this unauthorized construction. However, the construction continued at the site.

Since the property is owned by the CIDCO Authority, the Honorable Upper Collector (Selection Grade) and Chief Controller of Unauthorized Constructions, CIDCO, have been tasked with planning the eviction proceedings for the encroachments/unauthorized constructions at this site. A letter confirming that the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation would provide necessary cooperation for these eviction proceedings was also issued.

In accordance with this, CIDCO organized a campaign to address the unauthorized construction. Joint action was taken by CIDCO and the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation to evict the unauthorized construction at the site.

This operation was carried out under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Mr. Bharat Dhande, with the presence of officers and staff from the Turbhe Division. Additionally, police officers from the encroachment removal squad and security personnel from the Encroachment Department were deployed for this initiative. For the removal of the unauthorized construction, 1 JCB, 3 electric hammers, 2 gas cutters, and 8 laborers were utilized. Moving forward, anti-encroachment actions will be intensified.

The successful operation, supervised by Assistant Commissioner Mr. Bharat Dhande, demonstrates a commitment to enforcing regulations against unauthorized construction. Moving forward, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation will intensify anti-encroachment measures to maintain order and compliance within the community.
