This transaction is taking place at the Sumadhura Logistics Park located in Bengaluru. The lease agreement, which spans nine years, involves the provision of ready-to-move-in warehousing space. This move is part of Sumadhura Group's broader strategy to address the increasing demand for premium warehousing solutions.

Madhusudhan G, Chairman and Managing Director of Sumadhura Group, elaborated on the context of this lease. He highlighted that there is a noticeable surge in demand for Grade A warehouses across a variety of sectors. This trend reflects a growing market need for top-tier warehousing solutions, especially from large-scale industries. Specifically, he pointed out that the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector is a prime example. The FMCG industry, which is currently undergoing rapid expansion, is projected to become a USD 10 billion industry by 2030. This growth underscores the need for high-quality warehousing facilities to support and sustain such large-scale industrial developments.

The company is said to be investing INR 600 crore into the first phase of the Sumadhura Logistics Park. This initial phase covers roughly 100 acres of land and offers a substantial 2.5 million sq ft of commercial warehousing space. Looking ahead, the company has ambitious plans for expansion. In the next phase, it intends to significantly increase the warehousing capacity to a total of six million sq ft. This expansion aims to meet the growing demand for high-quality warehousing solutions and further enhance the logistics infrastructure in the region.
