The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to demolish 625 homes in the Amar Nagar slum in Mulund to make way for the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road (GMLR) tunnel, a key east-west connectivity project. Affected residents will be relocated to six new rehabilitation towers in Bhandup West, with 906 flats under construction at Runwal Forest. Each resettled family will receive a 300 sq ft apartment. So far, 350 residents have been confirmed eligible for relocation, with assessments ongoing. The Asian Development Bank has sanctioned a INR 975.26 crore loan to boost infrastructure across nine industrial zones in Tripura, including Bodhjungnagar, R K Nagar, Dukli, and AN Nagar. The funds will support 34 road projects, fire stations, industrial sheds, substations, and underground power lines. Tripura Industrial Development Corporation (TIDC) is also developing new industrial areas on 155 acres in Santirbazar and Fatikroy, and has reclaimed 28 acres from inactive units for reallocation. Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) has won its first Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA) with a 30 MW / 120 MWh project awarded by NHPC for deployment in Kerala. This battery system, to be set up at a 220 kV substation, will provide four hours of backup power and support Kerala State Electricity Board's grid needs. Operating under a 12-year contract, the project will enhance grid stability and enable greater renewable integration.
