Punjab and Rajasthan move forward on INR 647 crore Firozpur Feeder project

The Firozpur Feeder Reconstruction Project, a joint initiative between Rajasthan and Punjab, is moving forward with approvals and funding commitments. With a sanctioned cost of INR 647.62 crore, the project seeks to enhance the Gang Canal system's capacity to support irrigation in Rajasthan's Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh districts. Punjab has agreed in principle to contribute INR 379.12 crore, while Rajasthan will fund INR 268.50 crore. Singapore-based Cube Mobility Investments sold a 3.62% stake in Cube Highways Trust this week, offloading over 4.82 crore units worth INR 615.50 crore. Major buyers included Kotak Mahindra Bank, LTI Mindtree, and Larsen & Toubro. Cube Highways units rose over 6% following the sale, reflecting strong investor demand. Earlier, IFC invested INR 860 crore in the trust's sustainability-linked bond, and L&T had acquired an 8.03% stake in 2023. In a separate NSE deal, South Africa's Lesaka Technologies exited its 8% stake in Mobikwik for INR 143 crore. Centre to upgrade nine roads to Nashik ahead of 2027 Kumbh Mela

Maharashtra CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis has announced a INR 4,000 crore road upgrade plan for Nashik ahead of the 2027 Simhastha Kumbh Mela, with central government support. Nine key routes connecting Nashik, along with the Nashik Ring Road and Nashik-Trimbak road (to be widened to six lanes), have received in-principle approval from Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari.
