Hyderabad's Neopolis witnessed a record land transaction during HMDA's latest e-auction, where a 4.03-acre plot was sold for INR 151.25 crore per acre, totalling around INR 609 crore. A second 5.03-acre parcel fetched INR 147.75 crore per acre, bringing the day's combined proceeds to INR 1,352 crore. With earlier auctions held this past week, HMDA's total collections from Neopolis have reached INR 2,708 crore. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Safran Aircraft Engine Services India (SAESI) facility in Hyderabad, which will be operational in 2026. With an initial investment of INR 1,300 crore, the facility is designed to service LEAP engines used in Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. It will employ over 1,000 skilled Indian technicians and engineers and handle up to 300 engines annually. South Central Railway (SCR) is working on a long-term plan to expand Hyderabad's rail network by building three major terminals at Nagalapalli, Jukal and Dabilpur. These terminals are linked to the Regional Ring Rail (RRR) project, estimated at INR 26,000 crore and planned to run around 392-420 km while connecting several surrounding districts. The upcoming facilities are intended to ease pressure on busy stations like Secunderabad, Kacheguda and Hyderabad. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has launched a logistics training centre at the National Skill Training Institute in Hyderabad to meet rising workforce requirements in the logistics industry. The centre includes simulation labs for truck-driving, warehouse activities and forklift operations, supported by a curriculum created with the Logistics Sector Skill Council and industry partners. The model builds on a pilot that began in Chennai in January 2024. The Telangana High Court has allowed the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) to proceed with the e-auction of 4.19 acres of Budwel land in Rajendranagar, which had been set aside earlier this year. The division bench suspended the single-judge order that had favoured private claimants, directing the Rangareddy district collector to decide on ownership claims by mid-December. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) enforcement wing, HYDRAA, carried out the demolition of a five-storey residential building located in Miyapur after it was found to have been built illegally on government land. The developers, Bhanu Constructions, had purchased a plot within an approved layout but encroached onto additional HMDA property using falsified Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) documents and a forged demand draft. HYDRAA has taken decisive action to curb land misuse in Hyderabad after investigating public complaints received via the Prajavani platform. Commissioner A.V. Ranganath confirmed that in Hastinapuram North Extension Colony (Karmanghat village), a 1.27-acre park area from an approved layout had been illegally sold as plots; the agency removed the encroachments, fenced the land, and installed ownership boards. In Subhash Nagar (Chandanagar circle), a 700 sq yd plot reserved for public amenities was also reclaimed and fenced. The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) is preparing to build dedicated electric vehicle (EV) depots across Greater Hyderabad to support 2,800 electric buses over the next three years. Each depot will feature charging stations and high-tension power connections, with the total estimated cost of INR 392 crore. To fund the initiative, a green fee of INR 5-10 per ticket is being planned, expected to generate about INR 110 crore annually. The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has reclaimed over 300 acres of government land in Gajularamaram, Quthbullapur, valued at INR 15,000 crore.
