Officials said the projects have been launched in phases to enhance road quality and address long-pending connectivity gaps in the area.

The Lucknow administration has approved 48 road construction and strengthening projects in Sarojini Nagar with a total sanctioned cost of INR 11.66 crore under the Chief Minister Rapid Road Development Scheme, aimed at upgrading internal connectivity and improving transport infrastructure across the constituency.
According to official details, the projects will cover nearly 9.98 km of road network across multiple villages and urban pockets within Sarojini Nagar. The works include widening of narrow stretches, strengthening of existing roads and improvement of village link routes to enhance mobility for residents and commuters.
The initiative is part of the state government’s broader infrastructure push focused on strengthening last-mile connectivity and improving civic amenities in rapidly expanding suburban regions of Lucknow. Officials stated that the road works have been designed to address long-standing gaps in internal connectivity and improve access to main arterial roads and highways.
Alongside road development, Sarojini Nagar has also witnessed parallel infrastructure upgrades, including installation of solar streetlights, high-mast lighting systems and expansion of public lighting infrastructure across several localities. These measures are aimed at improving safety, visibility and overall civic conditions in semi-urban and rural pockets of the constituency.
Local administration officials have indicated that the road projects will be executed in phases to minimise disruption to traffic and ensure timely completion. Contractors have been directed to adhere to prescribed engineering standards, including proper drainage systems and quality control measures to enhance durability, particularly during monsoon conditions.
The constituency has seen increased infrastructure spending in recent years, with a focus on improving connectivity between residential clusters, agricultural villages and emerging commercial zones. The latest approval is expected to further support local mobility and strengthen integration with Lucknow’s expanding urban network.
Officials added that continuous monitoring mechanisms will be in place to ensure quality compliance and timely execution of the sanctioned works, with periodic inspections planned across all project sites.
