Belagavi Airport is set to enter a new phase of growth as work on its Terminal 2 project approaches completion. Developed at an estimated cost of INR 223 crore, the new facility is expected to significantly improve passenger experience while supporting the region’s growing air travel requirements.
The terminal has been designed to reflect local cultural and architectural influences, creating a distinctive identity while incorporating modern aviation infrastructure. The upgraded facility will feature expanded passenger areas, improved operational systems and enhanced amenities aimed at accommodating increasing traffic volumes in the years ahead.
Belagavi has emerged as an important commercial, industrial and educational centre in northern Karnataka, serving as a strategic link between Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa.
