A series of new expressway links and interchanges are being planned to strengthen connectivity to the Noida International Airport at Jewar, integrating it with major national corridors across the NCR and western Uttar Pradesh. Key proposals include an interchange connecting the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, dedicated link roads from the Yamuna Expressway, and additional corridors linking Faridabad and the Ganga Expressway. These projects aim to reduce travel time, improve regional accessibility, and distribute traffic across multiple routes. The infrastructure push is aligned with the airport's operational rollout and is expected to support passenger movement, logistics, and real estate development across the Yamuna Expressway influence zone.
Authorities are advancing multiple road infrastructure projects, including new expressway links and interchanges, to improve connectivity to the Noida International Airport in Jewar, with the objective of integrating the airport into the wider National Capital Region (NCR) transport network and easing access from key urban centres. The initiatives include the development of an interchange connecting the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, designed to provide a direct and faster route for traffic travelling from NCR cities and western Uttar Pradesh to the airport. This connection is expected to reduce dependency on existing routes and streamline long-distance vehicular movement.
In parallel, link infrastructure from the Yamuna Expressway is being strengthened to ensure seamless last-mile access to the airport. Plans include elevated road segments and dedicated connectors that will allow vehicles to transition directly from the expressway network to the airport boundary, reducing congestion at entry points and improving travel efficiency.
Additional connectivity is being developed through greenfield expressways linking neighbouring regions. A key project includes the Faridabad-Jewar Expressway, a six-lane corridor that will significantly reduce travel time between Haryana and the airport by providing a direct connection to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway network. The route is expected to play a critical role in facilitating cross-regional mobility.
Further integration is being planned through a proposed 74.3 km link connecting the Ganga Expressway with the Yamuna Expressway, effectively bridging two major infrastructure corridors. This linkage is intended to expand the airport's catchment area by improving access from central and eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh.
The airport is already positioned along the Yamuna Expressway, which connects Greater Noida to Agra and forms the backbone of regional connectivity. Additional service roads and supporting infrastructure are being planned along this corridor to manage increased traffic volumes expected after the airport becomes operational.
These developments are being undertaken in anticipation of rising passenger and cargo movement once the airport is fully operational. The objective is to distribute traffic across multiple high-capacity corridors, reducing pressure on any single route and ensuring redundancy within the network.
From an urban planning perspective, the integration of expressways and interchanges is expected to support the development of an aerotropolis ecosystem around the airport. Improved connectivity is likely to facilitate industrial, logistics, and real estate activity across the Yamuna Expressway region, where land use patterns are already evolving in response to infrastructure investments.
The coordinated approach to connectivity reflects a broader strategy to align airport infrastructure with regional transport planning, ensuring that the Noida International Airport functions as a multi-modal hub with direct access to key economic corridors across northern India.
