The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) is embarking on an ambitious project to create the International Corporate Park (ICP) in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. Spanning 140 hectares, the ICP aims to rival Mumbai's prestigious Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) and is strategically located near the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport. CIDCO is currently addressing encroachments and constructing a protective compound wall around the ICP area, signalling the start of significant development. The project will include various sectors, offering corporate offices, hospitality facilities, media and entertainment infrastructure, IT company offices, residential housing, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities. Kharghar is set to become a thriving business hub, with the ICP at its core, enhancing the region's appeal.
The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) is gearing up to create a dynamic commercial hub named the International Corporate Park (ICP) in the Kharghar district of Navi Mumbai. This ambitious project is set to occupy a vast expanse of 140 hectares, with the goal of rivalling Mumbai's prestigious Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). CIDCO has earmarked a substantial land area of 155 hectares within Kharghar for this purpose.
In line with this vision, CIDCO has commenced its strategic initiative to establish the ICP in Kharghar, strategically situated just 14 kilometers away from the forthcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport. The project's initial phase is centered on securing the land by addressing encroachments that have cropped up over time. To accomplish this, a tender bid of approximately Rs 11.3 crore has been initiated for the construction of a protective compound wall around the designated corporate park area.
Significantly, developmental work has already been initiated on the outskirts of the proposed ICP location. This includes the construction of access roads and the inception of a football ground spread across a 10.5-hectare plot. The construction of the compound wall serves as a milestone, marking the commencement of large-scale development, as emphasized by a senior official.
The forthcoming development is set to encompass multiple sectors, including sectors 29, 28, 31, 32, 33, and parts of 34 A, 27, 24, 23, 22, and Owe village within Kharghar. The project will be executed in a two-phase approach, with the second phase focusing on the strategic planning and design of the corporate park.
The comprehensive plan for the ICP encompasses the construction of diverse complexes tailored to cater to various commercial sectors. These will include corporate offices, facilities for the hospitality industry, infrastructure for media and entertainment enterprises, and front offices for IT companies. This multipurpose business park will also feature premium residential housing, esteemed educational institutions, and top-tier healthcare facilities.
In the subsequent stages of development, in-depth market research and analysis will be undertaken to identify the sectors that express interest in establishing their presence within the city. Expression of interest will be a critical tool in evaluating the future infrastructure requirements of the area.
The residents and business community in Kharghar are eagerly awaiting the transformation that the International Corporate Park promises to bring. Its strategic location, near the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport, positions it as a prime destination for businesses, making it akin to Mumbai's renowned Bandra-Kurla Complex.
The compound wall construction, which signifies the commencement of extensive development, has already garnered attention. This wall will play a vital role in demarcating and securing the ICP area, paving the way for the subsequent phases of development.
CIDCO's commitment to addressing encroachments on the land demonstrates its dedication to the project's success. By taking this crucial step, CIDCO aims to ensure that the International Corporate Park's development proceeds unhindered.
The Kharghar region, with its scenic landscapes and growing infrastructure, is poised to become a thriving business hub. With the addition of the International Corporate Park, it will offer a comprehensive ecosystem for businesses, residents, and visitors alike.
