Earlier this month, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) and CIDCO conducted a demolition operation in Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai, targeting unauthorized constructions. Despite prior notices from the Encroachment Department, the concerned parties failed to address the issue, prompting punitive action under the directives of Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde and guidance of Dr. Rahul Gethe. The operation dismantled an illegal structure at Dattnagar, Ghansoli Village, belonging to Smt. Jaywanti Halya Mhatre and others, and two unauthorized shops in Ghansoli Nagar. The demolition involved heavy machinery and was supported by police and municipal officials. These actions highlight NMMC's commitment to enforcing municipal regulations and curbing illegal construction activities in the city.
Earlier this month, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and CIDCO came together for a demolition operation in Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai. Despite being served a notice by the Encroachment Department of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), the concerned parties refused to address the issue forcing the civic body to take punitive action, under the directives of Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde and the guidance of Dr. Rahul Gethe.
The unauthorized construction site belonged to Smt. Jaywanti Halya Mhatre (house owner and developer) at House No. 188/068, Dattnagar, Ramdas Patil Chawl, Ghansoli Village, Navi Mumbai, along with Mr. Prashant Rajendra Panda, Mr. Uttam Shamu Sargade, Mr. Shivaji Babar (landowners), and Mr. Prakash Dattu Kadam (developer). The concerned parties had failed to obtain prior permission from the NMMC before commence construction. The unauthorized structure was dismantled using 08 breakers, 15 workers, and 01 gas cutter. Officials and staff from the encroachment department of Ghansoli, CIDCO officers, NMMC officials, and a police team were deployed for this operation.
Similarly, in the Ghansoli Nagar area, Mr. Madhukar Jagannath Patil (house owner and developer) had commenced unauthorized construction of two shops without obtaining prior permission from NMMC. The concerned party was given intimation to remove the unauthorized construction voluntarily, but he continued without adhering to the warning. As a result, the two unauthorized shops were demolished by NMMC with the help of 5 workers. Officials and staff from the encroachment department of Ghansoli, along with a police team, were deployed for this operation.
