The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) is gearing up to unveil its latest endeavour; the new MahaRERA Complaint and Regulatory Integrated Technology Implementation (MahaCRITI) system on September 01, 2024. MahaCRITI is an advanced, integrated enterprise-wide IT solution featuring business intelligence and data analytics for all regulatory and complaint management functions.

The system aims to significantly enhance the user experience for all stakeholders by providing a unified platform where data captured is consistently utilized across the system. Features include personalized dashboards, system-driven reminders, and notifications, transforming processes such as progress reports, compliance, and complaint management. New features include a mobile application and AI chatbots for real-time assistance, making MahaCRITI a comprehensive and efficient platform for all users.

To understand how to use the new system, MahaRERA is offering classroom and virtual training sessions for two weeks for all real estate stakeholders. Training will begin on August 29, 30 and September 01 at the MahaRERA head office in Bandra-Kurla Complex. Stakeholders such as project promoters, developers, Self-Regulatory Organizations (SROs), agents, complainants, advocates, etc. are encouraged to participate. The training schedule is currently displayed on the website and demo videos will be available on the MahaRERA portal.

On August 29 and 30, all stakeholders will be given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the new system and interact with the MahaRERA staff during a hands-on introduction to the system. Following this, the second phase of the training will commence post the website launch on Sep 1, 2024.

The second module will focus on guiding complainants and lawyers on registering complaints and the subsequent processes. Developers, promoters, and their self-regulatory bodies will receive guidance on using the website for routine tasks such as project registration, corrections, extensions, quarterly progress reports, annual progress reports, and Form 4 for project completion. Real estate agents will be given information on registration, corrections, updates, and renewals. These sessions will also assist stakeholders in resolving any issues they may encounter.

MahaRERA Chairman Ajoy Mehta is confident the new MahaRERA portal will have plenty to offer to all stakeholders. He believes the MahaCRITI will enable all the stakeholders to do their MahaRERA related due diligence more easily and effectively on account of enhanced features such as improved systems for registration of new housing projects and related functions involving developers, registration of agents and related tasks and for improved provision for advocates and homebuyers to register and manage complainants.

Discussing the training workshops, he had the following to say,"This classroom and online training is being organised to guide and assist so that no one faces any challenges while using it. MahaRERA is confident that this will be of great benefit to all the stakeholders".

In conclusion, MahaCRITI promises to streamline and enhance regulatory and complaint management processes for real estate stakeholders. With comprehensive training and innovative features, MahaRERA aims to facilitate a seamless transition and improve user experience, ensuring efficient and effective management of real estate operations.
