In a series of meetings at the secretariat, Naidu directed officials to prioritise the repair of road infrastructure, ensure adequate availability of sand for construction, and implement measures to stabilise prices of essential commodities.
Highlighting challenges stemming from previous policies, Naidu stressed the immediate resolution of issues impacting residents across the state. He instructed officials to devise both short-term and long-term strategies to tackle these challenges effectively, tailored to their severity.
Addressing concerns over the availability and pricing of sand, crucial for the construction sector, the CM underscored the importance of ensuring uninterrupted supply and implementing a new, people-friendly sand policy. He emphasised that controlling the price of sand is critical to supporting ongoing construction activities throughout Andhra Pradesh.
Regarding road infrastructure, Naidu acknowledged the state's pressing need for repairs, citing negligence under previous administrations. He urged officials to integrate modern technology in road maintenance efforts to alleviate public inconvenience promptly. The CM emphasised the urgency of addressing potholes and other immediate repair needs to enhance road safety and connectivity.
In a separate meeting with agriculture, marketing, and civil supplies departments, Naidu directed officials to monitor and regulate prices of essential commodities such as rice, cereals, tomatoes, and onions. He emphasised collaboration with the central government to explore options for importing essential items, aiming to stabilise prices and ensure availability for consumers statewide.
