Residents of Greater Noida can expect a significant improvement in their city's infrastructure as the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) unveiled a development plan with a total budget of INR 73 crore. This plan focuses on essential infrastructure and public spaces, aiming to enhance the overall quality of life for residents.

A substantial portion of the budget, INR 7 crore, is dedicated to resurfacing the crucial 4.5-kilometer stretch from Char Murti Chowk to Tigri Roundabout. This busy road often experiences wear and tear, leading to traffic congestion and inconvenience for commuters. GNIDA has already initiated the tendering process for this project, aiming for completion within a month.

Furthermore, to enhance safety and visibility in villages, GNIDA plans to install LED lights in village plots for INR 6.85 crore. This initiative will improve nighttime navigation for residents, creating a more secure environment in over 58 residential sectors.

The plan extends beyond just roads. A budget of INR 1.49 crore has been allocated for beautification projects. This includes constructing an open gym in the popular 100-meter wide green belt near Galaxy Vega Society, providing residents with a free and accessible fitness option. Additionally, GNIDA will focus on beautifying key roads like DSC Road and NH-24,creating a more visually appealing cityscape.

Following the recent election period, GNIDA is committed to accelerating development efforts. CEO N G Ravi Kumar has instructed departments to expedite maintenance and construction works. Tenders have already been issued for various projects across departments like Project (covering INR 47 crore of works), Horticulture, Electrical Engineering, and Water-Sewer.

This development plan reflects GNIDA's commitment to improving Greater Noida's infrastructure. With a focus on roads, lighting, public spaces, and green areas, residents can expect a more convenient, safe, and visually appealing city. The rapid tendering process, expected to be completed within a month, paves the way for the swift execution of these projects.
