The Madhya Pradesh government is taking a significant step in establishing Indore as a premier IT hub by constructing two new IT parks, set for completion by the end of 2025. The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) confirmed the development of "IT Park-3" and "IT Park-4," which will join the existing four IT parks, increasing dedicated IT park space by 50%. IT Park-3 on Khandwa Road will span six acres with a 19-floor building, while IT Park-4 in Pardesipura Electronics Complex will cover 3,785 square meters, focusing on the ESDM sector. These projects aim to attract diverse tech companies and create thousands of jobs, positioning Indore as a key player in India's IT industry.
The Madhya Pradesh government is taking a big step forward in its mission to establish Indore, the state's financial capital, as a leading information technology (IT) hub in India. Two brand new IT parks are currently under construction in the city and are expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) official Sapna Anurag Jain confirmed the construction of "IT Park-3" and "IT Park-4" in different parts of Indore. These new additions will join the existing four IT parks already operational in the city, representing a 50% increase in dedicated IT park space. This expansion aims to attract more IT companies and businesses to Indore, creating a vibrant tech ecosystem with the potential to house thousands of additional employees.
The new IT parks cater to a diverse range of tech companies. IT Park-3, located on Khandwa Road, spans six acres and will feature a 19-floor high-rise building with ample parking space for approximately 950 cars, making it an attractive option for established IT companies seeking a modern and functional workspace. Meanwhile, IT Park-4, situated in the Pardesipura Electronics Complex, covers 3,785 square meters and will specifically target companies in the Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector. This focus on ESDM aligns with the government's intention to promote a broader range of technology-based industries in Indore.
The development of these new IT parks goes beyond just providing office space. Plans are underway to establish "IT Park-5" on Khandwa Road, further expanding Indore's IT infrastructure. Additionally, the proposed industrial area in Barlai is being designated to accommodate companies working in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and data centers. These initiatives highlight the government's long-term vision of transforming Indore into a hub for innovation and cutting-edge technology with the potential to create thousands of high-tech jobs.
Indore's existing IT park, Crystal IT Park, already enjoys the status of an IT SEZ (Special Economic Zone) and has facilitated software exports since 2012. The combined efforts to expand infrastructure, attract diverse tech sectors, and cultivate a culture of innovation position Indore to become a major player in India's IT landscape.
