This is not the first time Amitabh Bachchan has made a deal with The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL). In January 2024, Amitabh Bachchan acquired a plot in The Sarayu, a distinguished 7-star mixed-use development situated in Ayodhya by The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL). This acquired plot spans approximately 10,000 square feet and is valued at 14.5 crore.
In a parallel real estate move, Bachchan leased four commercial units in Mumbai's Oshiwara area to Warner Music India Limited, generating an annual rent of INR 2.07 crore in January 2024. This five-year lease, commencing in March 2024, is expected to yield revenue exceeding INR 11 crore for the entire tenure. Bachchan had initially acquired these units in August 2023 for a total of INR 29 crore, demonstrating a keen interest in commercial real estate.
This purchase adds to Bachchan's impressive property portfolio, which includes notable residences like Jalsa, Prateeksha, and Janak in Mumbai's upscale Juhu area. Additionally, Bachchan has showcased his generosity by gifting his Juhu bungalow, "Prateeksha," divided into two plots totaling 16,840 sq ft, to his daughter Shweta Nanda. The transfer was formalised through two gift deeds on November 8th, involving a stamp duty payment of INR 50.65 lakh.
Beyond Bollywood, Alibaug has become a hotspot for high-profile investments, attracting industrialists, corporate leaders, and sports personalities. Actress Suhana Khan, daughter of Shahrukh Khan, is among the latest to join the trend. The transaction, which totalled more than INR 10 crore including stamp duty expenses, is her second major investment in the area within just 8 months.

According to the registration record, the property is spread across 2.25 acres and has a built-up space of approximately 18,000 square feet. The 5 BHK home has two floors: ground and first. According to accounts, it is located in the Satirje neighbourhood, around ten minutes from Kihim Beach. Juhi Chawla also bought a land parcel for INR 1.89 crore in 2021 end, The property spread across .3060 hectares (0.75 acres) is located in Mapgaun. A stamp duty of INR 11.34 lakh was paid by her.
Cricketers Virat Kholi, Sachin Tendulkar, and Rohit Sharma have also invested in Alibaug's real estate market. The combined investment by Bollywood celebrities alone exceeds INR 50 crore in the past year.
