A committee headed by the Guntur district collector M Venugopala Reddy reviewed the issue and finalised the off-set price for the land to be auctioned in two separate villages. The district level committee put the off-set price at 5.94 crore per acre for the land at Navulur village close to Vijayawada-Gundugolanu national highway, and 5.41 crore for the land at Pichukapalem village close to the seed axis road in the capital city area.
The district level committee, which comprised of joint collector Rajakumari, Tenali sub-collector Geethanjali Sharma, additional commissioner, CRDA, Aleem Basha, joint director (estates), David Raju, DRO Chandrasekhara Rao, and RDO Prabhakara Reddy, approved the off-set prices and forwarded them to the CRDA and municipal administration department. The land will be auctioned through an e-auction portal.
Sources have stated that the proceeds from the sale of land in the CRDA area will be utilised to complete ongoing works in the Amaravati region. The CRDA had struggled to sell about 100 plots (house-sites) in different locations when they were put up for auction last year.
