FIR filled against Gauri Khan and two others over purchase of Lucknow property

Synopsis

A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Gauri Khan, and two real estate developers – Mahesh and Anil Tulsiani of Tulsiani Group in Mumbai city. The complainant, a resident of Mumbai, claims to have purchased a flat in Lucknow in 2015 from the group for a sum of Rs 86 lacs but is yet to receive possession. Gauri Khan is the brand ambassador for Tulsiani Group. All three have been charged under section 409 (the criminal breach of trust) of the Indian Penal Code.

Mr Kirit Jaswant Shah, a resident of Mumbai purchased a flat in Tulsiyani Golf View in Sushant Golf City area of Lucknow in 2015. He paid the developer a sum of eighty-six lac rupees to book the flat and was promised possession in 2016. However, he now alleges that the flat has been given to someone else. Mr Shah claims to be have been swayed into purchasing the property after Gauri Khan began promoting its projects.



Gauri Khan is the wife of famous Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Shah. She is the co-founder of Red Chillies Entertainment and also runs a successful interior design company by the name Gauri Khan Designs. She was roped in as brand ambassador of Tulsiani Construction and Developers Group in 2015.
