Fadnavis clarified that the factory was situated in a red zone established in 2008, owing to its proximity to the Southern Command of the Indian Army. He assured that discussions with the defence minister would be held to explore potential reductions in red zone limits. This proactive approach reflects the government's commitment to assessing and mitigating potential risks in urban areas across Maharashtra.
Furthermore, Fadnavis recognized the urgent need for a comprehensive review of burn wards in hospitals across major cities. He expressed a commitment to increasing bed capacity if necessary, aiming to bolster emergency response capabilities in the event of fire incidents.
