The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) is a government agency responsible for regulating the real estate sector in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established in 2017 under the provisions of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA). It was introduced with the goal to control the quickly expanding real estate market by bringing transparency, safeguarding homebuyers' interests and ensuring prompt resolution of disputes between buyers and builders. It does this by regulating the activities of real estate developers, brokers, and agents, and by providing a forum for the resolution of disputes between consumers and developers.
