Earlier this week, the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) carried out a demolition operation across villages in Sultanpur and Farrukhnagar to remove unauthorized colonies, illegal structures, and road networks. The operation dismantled various illegal developments across multiple sites, including farmhouses, boundary walls, and roads. Authorities also cleared colonies in Mubarakpur and Khurrampur. The demolition was overseen by officials from the DTP, and residents were advised to avoid investing in unauthorized properties and to verify land status with the Department of Town and Planning (DTP).
In an effort to curb illegal construction, the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) carried out a demolition drive across villages in Sultanpur and Farrukhnagar earlier this week. The operation, conducted under the jurisdiction of Farrukhnagar police station, focused on dismantling unauthorized structures, road networks, and other unapproved buildings.
The largest demolition took place in Sultanpur, where three colonies, spanning 33 acres, were completely cleared. Authorities demolished 10 farmhouses, five boundary walls, and the entire bitumen road network in the area.
In Khurrampur village, the road network in an illegal colony covering about 3 acres was also dismantled. Additionally, three unauthorized colonies in Farrukhnagar, covering roughly 12 acres, were cleared. The demolition involved removing a service station, two under-construction buildings, and the entire road network within the colonies. These structures had been developed without the necessary permits, prompting the authorities to take action.
In Mubarakpur, two unauthorized colonies covering approximately 9.5 acres were cleared, with an under-construction building and the road network being removed as part of the operation. The demolition drive was overseen by Duty Magistrate Anish Grover from the Office of the District Town Planner (DTP), Gurgaon, alongside officials such as DTP (E) Manish Yadav, Junior Engineer Naveen, and other supporting staff.
During the operation, officials spoke to residents, advising them against investing in unauthorized colonies. They urged the public to verify land status with the Department of Town and Planning (DTP) before purchasing property. The drive aims to prevent illegal land development and ensure that urban expansion follows legal planning and development standards.
This demolition drive is part of the authorities' ongoing efforts to curb illegal land development and ensure that urban expansion follows approved planning and development standards. By targeting unauthorized colonies and structures, the operation aims to safeguard legal property transactions and promote lawful urban growth. Residents were reminded to exercise caution when purchasing property and to confirm its legitimacy through official channels, ensuring that urban planning remains regulated and sustainable in the long run.
