The Noida Authority has commenced a land survey for the Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR), or New Noida, to facilitate land acquisition and development. Spanning 209.11 sq. km across 80 villages in Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr, the project will be executed in four phases, with the first phase targeting 3,165 hectares by 2027. Part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), the DNGIR Master Plan 2041 allocates 40% for industrial use, 13% for residential, and 18% for green spaces. Enhanced connectivity via road, rail, and the upcoming Noida International Airport is expected to drive economic growth and infrastructure development.
The Noida Authority has initiated a land survey for the upcoming Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR), commonly known as New Noida. This survey, aimed at facilitating the acquisition of land for development, was conducted by Noida Authority CEO Lokesh M and other officials in Bulandshahr.
During the preliminary survey, CEO Lokesh M emphasized the significance of the project. He noted that the proposed land in the Sikandrabad area of Bulandshahr was inspected, along with land in Jokhabed village, which is set to host a temporary office for the Noida Authority to oversee land acquisition and development activities. The Authority plans to engage with local landowners, residents, and village leaders to gain their support for the acquisition process.
The DNGIR project involves acquiring approximately 209.11 square kilometers of land across 80 villages in Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr districts. Of these villages, 63 are located in Bulandshahr, while the remaining villages are in Gautam Budh Nagar. The development will occur in four phases, with the first phase targeting the acquisition of 3,165 hectares by 2027. Subsequent phases will expand the project area, with plans to acquire nearly 21,000 hectares by 2041.
In October, the state government approved the Noida Authority's Master Plan 2041, which outlines land usage for the DNGIR. The plan allocates 40% of the acquired land for industrial purposes, 13% for residential development, and 18% for green and recreational spaces. Other allocations include 4% for commercial use, 8% for public institutions, and the remainder for various development projects.
The DNGIR is strategically significant as it is part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), which aims to enhance economic growth in the region. The area benefits from excellent connectivity through road and rail networks, linking it to major urban centers and the Noida International Airport, which is set to begin commercial operations in April 2025. This connectivity is expected to attract investments and boost economic activity in the region.
