Harvest Gold, a leading bread brand in India and part of Bimbo Bakeries India under Grupo Bimbo-the world's largest baked food company-hosted the 9th edition of the 'Harvest Gold Global Race 2024' on 4th October, 2024. Aimed at reducing hunger through bread donations for every registration, the event attracted an impressive 4,750 participants in Delhi NCR. Promoting an active lifestyle, Milind Soman served as the 'Race Ambassador' this year, flagging off the race.

Grupo Bimbo is a multinational company operating in over 35 countries across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa. It is the largest baked goods brand globally and the 7th largest packaged food brand, featuring an impressive portfolio that includes breads, cakes, sweet baked goods, cookies, and salty snacks. With the mission to provide nourishment for all, Bimbo Bakeries India, part of Grupo Bimbo, is one of the largest bread makers in the country. Its three main brands 'Harvest Gold, Modern, and Kitty' offer a wide range of nutritious and tasty products in the categories of sliced breads, buns, and other baked foods.

Participants from various backgrounds and age groups took part in four categories: 3K (walkathon), 3K (run), 5K (run), and 10K (run). The race serves as a platform to create positive change by promoting health and wellness while raising awareness about hunger. For each registration, Harvest Gold pledges to donate 20 slices of bread, resulting in a donation of 95,000 slices to Snehdhara Charity Council, an NGO dedicated to food security, educational resources, and elderly care.

Raj Kanwar Singh, Managing Director of Bimbo Bakeries India, expressed gratitude to the thousands of participants who came together for this noble cause. Their enthusiasm and support made this year's race a huge success and we will be donating 95,000 slices of bread to the needy. Now in its 9th year, the Global Race has attracted over 140,311 participants worldwide, with Toronto serving as the host country. Conducted across 28 countries, this year's race has resulted in the donation of more than 3 million bread slices, making a global impact and raising awareness about hunger one slice at a time.
