Synopsis

The Nagarashraya Samiti for Mangaluru City North is moving forward with finalising the beneficiary list for houses to be built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Idya village. The Nagarashraya Samiti for the Mangaluru City North constituency has announced plans to finalise the list of beneficiaries for houses to be constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Idya village. This initiative aims to provide affordable housing to eligible individuals and families in the area. The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) is leading the project, which involves a G+3 model housing design, intended to accommodate a significant number of residents and enhance the living standards in the locality.

To update the beneficiary list, the Nagarashraya Samiti has decided to cancel the names of individuals who have either failed to pay their instalments, did not submit the required documents, or showed a lack of interest in availing themselves of the housing options. This decision is essential to ensure that the housing scheme effectively benefits those who are genuinely interested and financially capable of maintaining their commitments. By removing inactive beneficiaries, the Samiti aims to allocate houses to deserving candidates who are eager to participate in the PMAY program.

MCC Commissioner Anand CL highlighted that individuals who have not paid their instalments or submitted the necessary documentation must rectify this situation by visiting the Urban Poverty Alleviation Cell within the Housing Division at the MCC Lalbagh office by November 30 during office hours. The required documentation includes a copy of the original application, caste and income certificates, a ration card, voter ID, Aadhaar card for all family members, a rental agreement, recent photographs, a photocopy of the Canara Bank passbook, and a copy of the bank challan for the instalment paid. Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the removal of their names from the beneficiary list, and new beneficiaries will be selected to ensure the housing project meets its intended goals of providing homes to those in need.

The Nagarashraya Samiti's decision to refine the beneficiary list for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana demonstrates a focused approach to delivering housing solutions in Idya village. By highlighting the importance of financial commitment and documentation, the Samiti aims to streamline the allocation process and ensure that deserving individuals receive the benefits of the housing scheme. As the deadline for submissions approaches, it is vital for eligible beneficiaries to respond promptly to avoid losing their opportunity. This initiative not only seeks to provide homes but also to enhance the overall living conditions of the community, fostering a sense of stability and security for its residents.
