Over 1,200 LIG and 440 EWS flats were sold under DDA's Sasta Ghar and Madhyam Vargiya Housing schemes, with significant sales in locations like Ramgarh, Rohini, and Narela. Since bookings began on September 10, all HIG flats in Jasola sold out on the first day, and strong demand was seen in Dwarka, where various flats were auctioned. Launched in August 2024 under Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena, these schemes aim to provide affordable, quality housing while enhancing community life with green spaces. Buyers benefit from organized property documents and available sample flats for informed decision-making.
According to an official statement released last week, over 1,200 LIG and 440 EWS flats have been sold under DDA's Sasta Ghar and Madhyam Vargiya Housing schemes. In Ramgarh, out of 183 LIG flats available, 153 were sold. Additionally, 708 LIG flats were sold in Rohini, while approximately 250 were booked in Narela. For the EWS segment, around 300 flats were sold in Narela, and all 139 flats in Loknayakpuram were also booked.
Since the booking opened on September 10, the scheme has seen a remarkable response, with all HIG flats in Jasola sold out on the first day, according to the statement. The latest sales took place in Dwarka, where a balanced inventory including one penthouse, three super HIG, 18 HIG, and most of the MIG flats were sold during the bidding process. The strong demand is evident, as around 2,000 people submitted EMDs for 169 flats, leading to several rounds of bidding that resulted in sales significantly above the reserve price.
The housing schemes were initiated under the leadership of Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena, who has been actively overseeing and monitoring their progress, as stated in the announcement. This impressive success is a result of DDA's dedication to offering quality housing at affordable prices, along with well-planned development strategies. Additionally, the DDA is enhancing green spaces around the housing areas to improve residents' quality of life. Final enhancements are also being made to the housing blocks to increase their value.
Additionally, DDA is collaborating with local authorities to maintain cleanliness in the area. These initiatives reflect DDA's commitment not only to offering affordable housing but also to fostering a sustainable and vibrant community for its residents. To facilitate the process for buyers, comprehensive information is being provided, and property documents are being organized in a folder that includes all necessary materials, according to the statement.
In August 2024, the DDA launched three housing schemes: the Sasta Ghar, Madhyam Vargiya Housing Schemes, and the Dwarka Housing Scheme, covering various locations such as Dwarka, Jasola, Narela, Rohini, Loknayakpuram, Ramgarh, and Siraspur, with different categories of flats. Buyers can book flats for the first two schemes on a first come, first serve (FCFS) basis, while the Dwarka Housing Scheme sold its flats through e-auction, which has now closed. The FCFS booking is still ongoing. All flats are freehold properties and ready for occupancy. To assist buyers in making informed choices, sample flats are available for viewing.
The success of DDA's housing schemes highlights a growing demand for affordable housing in Delhi. With over 1,200 LIG and 440 EWS flats sold, the positive response underscores the effectiveness of strategic planning and community-focused initiatives led by Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena. As the DDA continues to enhance living conditions through green spaces and cleanliness efforts, the commitment to creating vibrant communities remains strong. The ongoing FCFS booking process and availability of sample flats further empower buyers to make informed choices, ensuring that these housing developments cater to the needs and aspirations of residents.
