MPSEDC is preparing to issue tenders for the remaining 12 plots in Sinhasa IT Park by year-end. So far, the corporation has allocated 33 plots to IT and ITES firms, despite eight plots facing encroachment issues. These companies have committed to investing over INR 100 crore and aim to generate employment for approximately 1,500 people. Seven of the allotted companies have already begun operations, while the others are still developing their facilities. MPSEDC has also sold 30,000 square feet of space in the park's building and plans to lease additional sections to various technology-focused enterprises.
The Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) is planning to issue new tenders for the remaining 12 plots at Sinhasa IT Park by the end of this year. Of the 53 available plots, MPSEDC has already allocated 33 to companies in the IT and IT-enabled services (ITES) sectors, with a projected investment exceeding INR 100 crore, according to officials. MPSEDC is currently preparing to float tenders for the remaining 12 plots in Sinhasa IT Park. So far, various industries have secured 33 plots, though approximately eight of them are dealing with encroachment issues.
These 33 companies plan to invest over INR 100 crore and create nearly 1,500 jobs, according to an official from MPSEDC, who requested anonymity. Among the allocated plots, around seven industries have already commenced operations at Sinhasa, while the remaining plots are in various stages of development. Initially, the park faced difficulty attracting investors due to its distance from the city centre, which prompted the department to revise its revenue model in order to attract greater interest.
Spanning 112 acres along the Indore-Ahmedabad highway, Sinhasa IT Park under MPSEDC offers industrial plots as well as a four-storey building designated for IT companies. In addition to the allocated plots, companies from the IT and ITES sectors have also acquired about 30,000 square feet of space within the IT Park's main building. The official confirmed that MPSEDC has sold around 30,000 square feet of space to various companies within the Sinhasa IT Park building, which has a total built-up area of 80,000 square feet.
MPSEDC also intends to lease out sections of the four-storey building to IT firms, defence incubation centres, and software development companies focused on export-oriented projects. Each floor consists of four blocks, providing ample space for a variety of enterprises in the technology sector. With renewed interest from IT players, both domestic and international, MPSEDC is optimistic about the park's growth prospects. The corporation aims to enhance Sinhasa IT Park's appeal by offering competitive lease options and addressing the earlier concerns regarding its location. These efforts will transform the park into a key hub for technological innovation and employment in the region.
The Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) is poised to significantly enhance Sinhasa IT Park's stature as a major technological hub. With plans to issue new tenders for the remaining plots, attract substantial investments, and create numerous jobs, the park is set to become a cornerstone of technological innovation and economic growth in the region. By addressing past challenges and offering competitive lease options, MPSEDC is optimistically steering Sinhasa IT Park towards a prosperous future.
